Five years after Myanmar's military coup that ousted Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, the country is set to hold elections.
The junta claims the upcoming elections will restore civilian rule in Myanmar, but Western governments and civil rights groups widely view the elections as a sham meant to keep the generals in power through their affiliated political parties.
