Lots of interesting comparos -- REVII, exposure times, DSS Images and some visual eyepiece comments from Steve Gottlieb. PLUS various exposure time settings and magnifications!
NOTE: Despite the "half-moon" plus, probably the best real-time imaging series done to date. 60-second stacked exposures approximating low-power Mt Wilson telescope views (at the eyepiece -- not photographic plates). Some errata in attribution (sometimes said 60x instead of 60" type of thing). Also incorrectly cited faint 5.5 magnitude visual NGC7840 as an "IC galaxy". None of this should distract from an otherwise pretty decent tour of "NGC1, 2, 3, 4, What are we observing for?" Plus M31, 32, & especially 110. And oh yeah, seems TheSkyLive.com is back to simplifying image downloads once again, and, of course, Steve Gottlieb's remarkable eyepiece descriptions making "eyepiece aperture mapping against real-time imaging" a reasonably accurate possibility. (Keep in mind, Steve's 48" scope views are done at the 610x needed to reduce background sky glare and fit the image plane into his retina -- none of which is required with good use of the ZWO histogram sliders (shown in this astro-vid).
