At least I have plenty of nice flatware to sell to salvage this box, although I won't profit a huge amount, I will recoup most of what I spent, but I had a lot of fun going through it and saw a ton of hard to find pieces. That has to count for something, right?
H.A. Atwood's ladies appear to be a pattern called "lily" which is sold under the names 1847 Rogers Bros and Rogers Smith & Co, making me even more confused, if that was possible.
I estimate each olive piece and each fiddle back to be worth approx. retail value 3-4$ each, for a total of $250-300.
Ladles and other tongs - 120-150$
Other silver plate flatware - $100
Sterling - retail $500-600 due to premiums for desirable pieces, but 315$ melt (at 85% of sterling melt price.)
