In this lesson, students will listen to a text about Christmas and how a family prepares for and celebrates the holiday. They will hear details about decorating the house, putting up a Christmas tree, hanging stockings, and sharing gifts with family and the community. Students will learn new vocabulary related to Christmas traditions, practice pronunciation, and improve listening comprehension through dictation, cloze exercises, and comprehension questions. The lesson also includes speaking activities such as personal sharing, compare/contrast, and mini-presentations.

To develop students’ ability to describe holiday traditions and celebrations in English.
