National Programme of Music, All India Radio, 1965 | MS Subbulakshmi

Here is a repost of a rare treasure, MS Subbulakshmi’s Mysore Vasudevacharya Centenary Concert, broadcast as a National Programme on All India Radio on 29/05/1965. Part of the centenary celebrations, this National Programme was devoted entirely to Vasudevacharya’s works, and has since been remembered as one of her finest broadcast recitals.

A portrait of MSS in her prime, the concert is full of openness, imagination and bhava. One to return to again and again.
