Usually, Chiptune is locked to a grid, but for this version of Greensleeves, I used the 4x LSDJ setup to experiment with tempo changes and rubato-style playing. By manipulating the speed across 8 pulse channels, I’ve created a "Piano" instrument that feels heavy, intentional, and epic.
The extra voices provided by the 4-way sync were essential for the "dark" aesthetic—allowing for low-octave drones and complex, minor-key clusters that would be impossible on a single unit.
