Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has criticised demands to scrap this year’s MBBS selection list at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University after 42 Muslim students qualified for 50 seats. He said admissions must be based on merit, warning that religion-based selection violates constitutional principles and could set a dangerous precedent.
