You Bet! Theme Music - Full Version (The Brucie Button Mix)

A Cut & Thrust challenge from one of my subscribers... to create a full version of the You Bet! theme music. Challenge achieved - no forfeit! Phew.

You Bet! was a British game show that aired In the UK on ITV between 1988 and 1997 and was produced by LWT (London Weekend Television). Initially hosted by Bruce Forsyth (and Ellis Ward) from 1988 to 1990, it was also hosted by Matthew Kelly from 1991 to 1995 and finally by Darren Day from 1996 to 1997.

If you remember Bruce hosting the show, then you’ll no doubt remember his “rap” where he would shout to the audience and they would reply. I wanted to include it in this mix but I couldn’t find a complete version of it. What I did find was Bruce doing the rap with a child contestant (Series 2 Episode 8 - 18th March 1989) and Bruce is speaking more softly (the way in which adults talk to kids) and I think it actually sounds better!

I’ve also included some of Bruce’s other catchphrases including “make your bet”, “we’ll be back in a bit - you can bet on it” and “have you found your Brucie button?”, also from 1989.

The theme music is by Jonathan Sorrell and it is a great piece of music that builds the excitement with ever key change.
