Using only basic hand tools and a wire welder, this Bonneville style coupe is built, from the ground up, using raw steel and body panels cut out of junked vintage cars. The build starts with salvaging a '57 Chevy, four door, roof skin. Cutting the roof skin into two pieces and making the sides of the coupe out of those two pieces. A bead roller is used to roll the body lines, into the old roof skin halves, before installing them. Slowly, other sheet metal panels are salvaged, from other junked classic cars, and assembled to a wooden buck. Once the body is welded together, a frame is built from scratch. An early Ford straight axle is dropped to set the front end height and a quick change rear end is installed to get the power to the highway.
An amazing video that will keep you engaged from start to finish!
