Harlem School District 122 proudly held its Multicultural Event on Friday, May 2nd, celebrating the achievements of four high school seniors who earned the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy. Since 2019, Harlem has recognized students who demonstrate high levels of proficiency in English and another language. This year’s recipients earned the Seal in Spanish, Bosnian, and Serbian, highlighting the rich cultural heritage within our school community. We take great pride in honoring our students’ multilingual accomplishments and promoting biliteracy throughout the district. The success of this event was made possible through the outstanding contributions of students and staff from the Harlem Language Academy. Multilingual Learners from LP, RC, MP, and PC proudly presented their work, and the dedication of our HoLA teachers was instrumental in bringing the celebration to life.
