In this video, we troubleshoot a common issue on the Troy Bilt TB30R (Model 13A726JD066) rear engine riding mower — it won’t start, won’t crank, and doesn’t make any noise when turning the key

If you’re experiencing a dead mower with no response, this guide will walk you through the entire diagnostic process to find the problem and get it fixed.

We begin by reviewing all the required starting conditions: ensuring the parking brake is fully engaged, the blade PTO lever is disengaged, and the side discharge chute or mulch cover is properly installed — which is a safety interlock on these mowers.
