Inspired by this year’s exhibition, "In Sparkling Company: Glass and the Costs of Social Life in Britain During the 1700s," Flameworking Supervisor Eric Goldschmidt created a tiered serving display. The piece involves the precision flameworking of hollow forms that fit together into a multi-level set of interconnected dishes for a display of desserts. https://www.cmog.org/sparkling

In our Bring the Heat demo series, join us for a live stream of glass artists demonstrating their expertise and skillful execution while “in the zone.” During each demo, an artist will present a personal design they’ve worked to perfect, and they will be live on the mic to narrate as they work—a rarity for live artist demonstrations and a first at the Museum.
