Hamm is a city in North Rheine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located in the northeastern part of the Ruhr area. As of 2016 its population was 179,397. The city is situated between the A1 motorway and A2 motorway. Hamm railway station is an important hub for rail transport and renowned for its distinctive station building.

What to see in one day in Hamm?

•The Square of German Unity is the square in front of the Heinrich-von-Kleist-Forum between Willy-Brandt-Platz and Bahnhofstrasse. It includes the part of the former Horten complex that was not rebuilt after its demolition. According to the original planning, a hotel was to be built here.
•Bahnhofstrasse is a street in the Mitte district. It runs from the railway underpass south of the main station from west to east to the west gate.
•The Evangelical Lutheran Church is located in the Mitte district. It has been a listed building since 1985. After a renovation, it has been operating as the Evangelical Youth Church since 2012.
