This is How I Drive as a Paraplegic|My Van Setup|Tamara Mena- Así es Como Manejo Mi Van C/Paraplegia

I just wanted to share with my followers how it is that I drive, since most people wonder how I do it or if I can do it...? So here it is, yay! And in general, I hope this can encourage many of you to face your fears HEAD ON and OVERCOME them! Yes, I'm paralyzed but I try to not let fear paralyze me and instead I go after everything I want! Life's too short to not enjoy it and do what your heart desires! Be limitless! Keep pushing!

More info about this car: After having a second car accident and totaling that car, I wasn't sure what type of set up I'd want next... I knew I wanted to feel safe and also be able to find something that would be practical for me in terms of transfers. I didn't want to have to break down my chair every time I wanted to go somewhere, if it was possible. I found this setup, a Chevrolet Uplander, an SUV crossover adapted by Braunability. We had to do several more adaptations to it as this used to be equipped for a wheelchair user passenger only, not as a driver. Robert from Modesto Mobility, in Modesto CA did all of the adaptations and they were great with me every step of the way!
