NEW YORK MEGA VLOG PART 1 | TRAVEL DAY | TIMES SQUARE | BROOKLYN BRIDGE | STATUE OF LIBERTY |

Hi everyone!

We're Amy & Harry, and welcome to Part 1 of our New York MEGA Vlog Series!

It’s finally time—the New York adventure begins! We kick things off with pre-travel day back home, where we attempt to pack our lives into two suitcases, stay at the Radisson Blu at Manchester Airport… and end up choosing McDonald’s for tea instead of the fancy restaurant (classic us!).

Travel day starts bright and early as we walk through the airport tunnel, have a wander around duty-free (couldn’t resist picking up a few treats), and then hop on our Virgin Atlantic flight, all the way, to NYC JFK. As soon as we landed, we dropped our bags off as fast as humanly possible and headed straight out to see Times Square for the very first time. Nothing could’ve prepared us for how magical it felt!

Day 1 brought the ultimate New York welcome—we jumped on the TopView bus for a full tour of the city’s most iconic sights, visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to pay our respects at Ground Zero, and then took the Staten Island Ferry for the most incredible views of the Statue of Liberty. After walking over 30,000 steps (yes, you read that right!), we called it an early night to recharge.

Day 2 started with another city tour from the top deck of the bus, followed by walking across the Brooklyn Bridge—such a pinch-me moment. We stopped off at DUMBO and enjoyed the most incredible views from Time Out Market, before finding the best handmade noodles at The Hand Pulled Noodle. We ended the day with the uptown bus route through Central Park, a cosy little Irish bar, and… yep, another McDonald’s to finish the night on a high. No regrets!

This vlog is the start of an unforgettable trip, filled with excitement, iconic views, emotional moments, and a LOT of steps.
