Wakefield ended Saints' 9 match unbeaten run at Barnsley in 1999; they were something of a problem for Saints around this time. Saints were made to work for this victory and Wakefield would win the return fixture later in the season in August. Some physical play from Fereti Tuilagi and a fortuitous try off a goal kick amongst these highlights.
