Homemade Taco Sauce - New Mexico Red Chile Sauce - Mexican Red Sauce

This Homemade Red Chile Taco Sauce is something that I use on just about any Mexican Food. I use Extra Hot Dried Chile Pods for my Red Chile Sauce, but they also sell mild as well for those that are less adventurous. You can make this Sauce as thin or as thick as you like. I change it up a bit because I like it both ways.

This is the base Mexican Red Sauce. Under the ingredient list are other ingredients I add on occasion. The beauty of making this HomemadeTaco Sauce is that it is different every time you make it. This sauce goes great with almost any Mexican Recipe.

Ingredients For New Mexico Red Chile Sauce | Taco Sauce:
12 Dried Chile Pods
4 Cloves Garlic (whole or chopped is fine)
1 Tsp. Cumin
1/2 Tbsp. Black Pepper
Salt to taste
Other ingredients I often use
Cilantro (added after peppers have boiled)
Onions Added to boiling peppers
Vinegar
Mexican Oregano (added with seasonings)
