Day 23 of my 60 Days Coding Challenge 💻
Today was honestly one of the most mentally exhausting and demotivating days of this journey.
I worked on the “Single Element in a Sorted Array” problem.
Started with the brute force approach
Understood time complexity and edge cases
Wrote the brute force solution on my own
Then moved to the optimized binary search approach
I spent almost 4 hours stuck trying to understand how the binary search logic works (odd-even index, invariants, partitions). Even after watching diagrams and explanations, it didn’t fully click today.
To avoid burnout, I switched to aptitude practice for 1 hour, then came back again and tried to understand the logic step by step.
Even though I didn’t master it completely, I didn’t quit.
This day taught me:
Struggle is part of learning
Some concepts take time to click
Consistency matters more than perfection
Not every day is productive, but every day counts.
On to Day 24 🚀
Slow progress is still progress.
