Welcome to Derry is an HBO Max prequel series to It that explores the town's history of supernatural horrors in 1962, 27 years before the original film's timeline. The show's plot centers on a series of events leading to the burning of the Black Spot, a nightclub with a racially diverse clientele, and incorporates elements from the historical "interludes" in Stephen King's novel that detail Derry's monstrous past.
