I've had this piece of Osage Orange for about 3 years now. One of the first pieces of wood that I h.ad given to me by a couple down the street from me. They gave me 2 big chunks from a dead tree that had been sitting around a while. I ended up cutting the chunks into smaller pieces because of the numerous cracks inside.
The lid for the box is made from a piece of figured Hickory I had saved from a cabinet job. The finial is made from a piece of Ironwood.
Stay safe when woodturning. Where a face shield when standing in front of the spinning piece. Keep your tools sharp. Reallu important.
