Caravan begins 3: Can we recreate essential frame pieces? Wood bending on a Vintage renovation.

In this episode we see if / how we can recreate the curved part of the wooden frame that are rotten and literally vanished!

Now that the caravan is fully stripped down inside we can see a full picture of the wooden frame. Of course being over 50 years old some of the frame has become rotten, snapped and even disappeared! I was very concerned we would not be able to replace these part due to our limited home facilities, tools and experience but we did some research here on YouTube and found this video where it looks not too complicated. After we did the first one we become much more efficient at the task and the process became easy 🤠
So here we have almost a full afternoon of work compressed into 20 mins for your education / amusement!
