Adriana Richard shares her story, and gives ideas on being an activist. Adriana Richard is a 18 year old college student studying at Shippensburg University to become an elementary school teacher. However, Adriana has also had type one diabetes since the age of 5. Although she has experienced a lot of wonderful moments in advocacy, she has also experienced a lot of heartbreak. Adriana has learned how to use her voice in different ways to help her community stand on its feet again. Adriana is excited to speak at TEDx Williamsport so she can be a voice for kids who are struggling like she once did. She knows that this is what she would have needed as a kid with T1D.
