Bridleless Liberty Start - A Mustang's First Rides at Liberty all the way to Trail Riding

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THESE METHODS AT HOME WITH AN UNSTARTED HORSE. I'M A PROFESSIONAL WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. THIS IS A SHOWCASE OF ME EXPERIMENTING WITH WHAT IS POSSIBLE WITH A PERSONAL HORSE.

Junnali is a mustang gathered from Salt Wells, Wyoming. I adopted her as a yearling and has been with me for several years now. She had never been ridden before I started this film project but she has always been a more quiet and gentle-natured horse from the start.

Ride 0) Before filming she learned to accept a rider at a stand still.
Ride 1) Then she learned how to do body control.
Ride 2) In her second ride she advanced her body control
Ride 3) Was her first ride in the arena and over obstacles
Ride 4) She went out on her first trail ride - solo without any horses
Ride 5) Her first trot and canter was established
Ride 6) She went on her second trail ride, much longer and with two horses

A lot of ground preparation went into checking in with her each day. In total she probably had around two hours of ride time, most at the stand still before she advanced to the trail riding.
