On October 21 & 22, 2024, volunteers from Titletown Muskies, Inc. were honored to assist the Wisconsin DNR with fin clipping ~15,000 fall fingerling muskies at the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery for immediate release into the Green Bay watershed. 100% of the fish receive a left ventral fin clip and 20% receive PIT (passive integrated transponder) tags. Because PIT tagging is costly and extremely time/labor intensive, it is prohibitive to PIT tag all fish.
These fish were transported to multiple stocking sites throughout the entire Green Bay watershed.
All fish were raised from eggs/milt collected during the Fox River musky fyke net survey in the spring of 2024.
