Fuvahmulah is a fishing island with a long history of humans and tiger sharks coexisting peacefully. Long before tourism, discarded tuna heads near the harbour attracted tiger sharks — and over generations, both sharks and locals learned these waters were safe.

Today, that history allows divers to safely observe these incredible apex predators up close.
