Aegean Storm (First Fight Theme) - God of War 1 Soundtrack

This song plays in the first fight at the start of God of War 1.

Aegean Storm incorporates both of the main themes of the game: Combat Kratos Theme (aka the Vengeful Spartan theme) at 0:12, and the main Kratos theme at 2:06.

Aegean Storm is a dynamic song, meaning that in the files it has two audio layers. In the fight itself, the game plays both layers at the same time (as heard in this video). When Kratos drops down the trapdoor after the fight is over, the game simply fades out one of the audio layers (rather than switching to a different music file), creating a smooth transition into a calmer version of Aegean Storm without the main instruments.
