Animal Volunteer gets through African Wilderness 🌴

In this new Margreen video I will take you behind the scenes and show you how it really was living in a tiny tent in the unfenced camp in the middle of African wilderness, and show you some of the exciting things I got to do there, apart from all the science, overwhelming important and in some ways shocking conservation information that we have received.

I started my trip in Maun by taking a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. Because the area is so flat, taking a flight is really your only chance to see this famous landscape. While taking pictures of elephant herds in a green luscious environment, my heart was warm, the most stunning scenery that I have ever seen. After starting my volunteer project with African Conservation Experience (https://www.conservationafrica.net/pr...) where I got a chance to speak to ecologists and conservationists to really find out what is really happening here while helping to collect data on animal populations in the area, please do watch my previous video talking more this exciting project for more details.

Every day we would wake up in the morning and after some tea go on drives or transects to collect data on animal populations for research purposes, we would drive really slowly until we see any animal, then input data about that animal or group that we find into the tablet and continue further. The area that we were driving around is truly wild, these are not your typical touristy safari routes. Life here is different, living in tents, with very basic comfort, with almost no electricity, no Wi-Fi or reception with limiting ways of entertainment you learn to keep yourself happy and busy.
