I sat on this video for over a year, as I was contemplating putting a project together, but due to my work schedule and life in general, I have tabled that idea for now.
Was browsing the outbound lineups one afternoon and saw a empty sand train out of Saginaw, TX with a CSXT ES44AH leading. I headed into Amarillo and found the train waiting for its outbound crew at McMasters St. After a short wait, the crew was on and after getting a track warrant, (The Dalhart Sub is ABS/TWC) the train departed town. I chased the train to a favorite location at Hackberry Rd in Valley De Oro. After it passed there, I saw I had enough sun to get it one more time. I wound up in Channing as the train tops Channing Hill.
A few days later, I saw there was a double empty coal train in AMarillo in the early afternoon. I jumped at a chance to catch one on video, made my way to a new location near River Breaks Ranch to capture it.
Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy
