Up until I started medical school a little over a month ago, I had never really considered how grades work in medical school. Grades have been such an integral part of my educational experience in undergraduate and high school (if that's a good thing is a topic for another video), but the focus with medical school was always just worrying about getting in.

I'm thankful to say that now that I'm here in medical school, I still don't think about medical school grades. Pass/fail is wonderfully freeing and allows me to focus on learning rather than getting good grades (two very different things, also a topic for another video).

Note: For those that are new here, I'm not a doctor (yet). I'm currently a first year medical student at Duke University.
