The Brisbane Tongan Community were blessed and deeply honoured to host the Tonga Relief Charity Dinner on Friday, 5th August 2022 at Brisbane's iconic City Hall. The Guest of Honour was Her Royal Highness Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Tuku'aho raising AUD$50,000.00 towards the Pili e Tauhala Relief Committee and Fakaliku Tonga Relief Fund.
The dinner was preceeded by a Royal Kava Ceremony presided by Her Royal Highness on behalf of His Majesty King Tupou VI for the installation ceremony of Mr Sulieni Layt to be His Majesty's Chief Attendant to be known by the title - Lave 'Iloa Ola.
The kava ceremony was held on Thursday, 4th August 2022 at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens in the presence of family, friends, community leaders, Australian, Tongan and Queensland Government officials and members of the Pasifika community.
We give glory to God and thank Him for an unforgettable week of community.
