NU TRIX Thread Restorer

Reiff and Nestor Company is the largest independently owned manufacturer of machinist taps. Since 1912, Reiff and Nesto is based in Lykens, Pennsylvania. They are best known for making high-speed taps, threadformers and the item featured in this video, the NU-TRIX No. 1 thread restorer.

The NU-TRIX No. 1 can restore bolt of various sizes with thread counts of 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 24 per inch. The NU-TRIX No. 2 can restore bolt of various sizes with thread counts of 9, 10, 12, 16, 20, 27, 28 and 32 per inch. The NU-TRIX No. 9 provides eight common metric pitches.


This NU-TRIX No. 1 was purchased at a local flea market for US$4.00.
