Get ready for the chewiest chocolate chip cookies made with Ferrero Rocher and brown sugar!
Ingredients:
100g brown sugar
50g granulated white sugar
¼ tsp salt
100g melted butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
150g all-purpose flour (add gradually)
½ tsp baking soda
150g Ferrero Rocher dark chocolate (chopped)
Optional: A few flakes of sea salt for topping
Instructions:
Mix Sugars and Butter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, white sugar, salt, and melted butter. Stir well to combine.
Add Wet Ingredients: Crack in the egg and add the vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add in the flour, mixing as you go. After the first portion of flour is mixed in, add the baking soda, then continue adding the rest of the flour until fully combined.
Incorporate Chocolate: Gently fold in the chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolate using a spatula.
Chill the Dough: For the best flavor, chill the dough in the fridge overnight. If you're short on time, you can chill it for 3 hours, but overnight is preferred for richer flavor.
Shape the Cookies: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Scoop out the dough and flatten it slightly with a fork to give it a nice shape.
Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
Optional Sea Salt: After baking, you can sprinkle a few flakes of sea salt on top of the warm cookies for an extra pop of flavor.
Shape and Serve: When the cookies are done, you can use a glass to rotate them into a more perfect circular shape if desired. Let them cool slightly on the tray before transferring to a cooling rack.
