I always wanted to write just this sort of piece for oboe trio. To my knowledge there is no showpiece based on the ubiquitous Carnival of Venice theme for the oboe trio format. I hope I have now redressed this oversight, and, in so doing, hope you enjoy my composition. Thanks. James
