I was glad to speak with Mick Cooper about Person-Centred and Pluralistic approaches to therapy. We covered a wide range of topics, including:

I also reflect on my journey in the field - starting with my initial training in the person-centred approach, my early misunderstandings of it, and how I explored other therapeutic methods before ultimately returning to person-centred therapy with a deeper appreciation.

Beyond this, we discuss broader challenges in therapy, the role of self-awareness in counselling, and how personal experiences shape a therapist’s approach.
