This is a presentation I gave for the February Real Estate Forum in Palmer Alaska. I was asked to speak about the rural properties on the Glenn Hwy from Sutton to Glacier View. Essentially, there are very few availabilities to move out to these areas. The properties that do come up are typically fought over or snatched up quickly. Just like most other places, prices are at an unprecedented high.
In general, land parcels are small in Alaska as only a minuscule amount of the state is actually privately owned. There is a trend for those wanting to move out of town, however those that own property in these areas are not wanting to sell. Stay patient and vigilant!
