This Brian Downey vid has been a long time coming as I've been on tour with #Zebraband and it's taken a little bit of extra time to get it done.

I've spent a good deal of time diving into British drummers and for Downey we are moving over to Ireland. Personal information on Brian Downey is not easy to come by and this is more of an appreciation video and chronology of Thin Lizzy. Brian grew up in Dublin with musical influence coming from his dad who was an Irish pipe band drummer. He was a founding member of Thin Lizzy along side of Phil Lynott and born in 1951 (the same year as myself) and I love it that he is still out there playing!

Hope you enjoy, learn a few things, and check out Brian's grooves from rock, jazz and blues - the man has versatility and creative chops.
