This is our favorite trail at the eastern end of the Chamonix Valley above Les Houches. The views of Mont Blanc from the Aiguillette des Houches are some of the best you can have the Aiguilles Rouge side of the valley. The Alpage and Chalets de Chailloux are open in summer and are a fantastic place to have a drink or a snack. We did this hike on November 1, 2024 and we were lucky to have perfect sunny conditions and no snow cover. All the information to do this trail yourself can be found on our website including the trail map, gpx download and practical information on when to go, how to get to the trailhead and whether this trail is suitable for families with children and dogs.
