Guatemala 4x4 | Off-Road Adventure to Pacaya Volcano

This one is dedicated to Matt and Stacey from ‪@ToyotaWorldRunners‬ not just for inspiring us to do the Pacaya Route, but for giving us the courage to take on the entire Pan-American journey.

Our last adventure in Guatemala didn’t go as planned.
Earthquakes, destroyed roads, and unexpected detours led us from a shaken mountain town to the lava fields of Pacaya Volcano. Along the way, we witnessed incredible acts of kindness, wild-camped in one of the country’s rarest spots, and took on a 4x4 route through sharp obsidian rock and volcanic landscapes. This is overlanding Guatemala — raw, unpredictable, and unforgettable.
