Not only do financial services have the challenge of operating services with microsecond response times at high throughput, they are now seeing the need for 24/7 operations and intra-day hot deployments.

Systems need to be updated for security fixes, migration to new hardware, platform upgrades, or rolling out new features. Systems may also be updated frequently when practicing Continuous Delivery to achieve fast feedback cycles from the market.

In this talk we will explore the challenges of doing hot upgrades while maintain microsecond response times on a platform capable of having nodes fail without interruption of service or loss of data. [...]
