Today, I remove the old cucumber and pea trellis to prepare the garden for a new growing season. After improving the soil, I plant fresh rows of purple bok choy, hoping for a beautiful harvest in the coming weeks.
From the garden, I harvest both green and purple yardlong beans. Part of the harvest is used to make a delicious countryside dish: yardlong beans wrapped in fish cake and fried until golden. The rest will be used for pickling and daily meals.
A simple but meaningful day—renewing the garden, cooking homemade dishes, and building my peaceful farm step by step.
