Keramas is a SE facing wave (145 degrees) located on the east coast of Bali. The spot is away from nightlife and fine restaurants giving it a more laid back vibe. The fun but powerful right, breaks over shallow table top reef. The take off zone can provide a barrel followed by sections that allow high performance maneuvers, eventually ending in deep water. Keramas breaks best on a medium tide or higher. The rivermouth has been diverted and now empties towards the end section of the wave. This has made waves that break deeper on the reef to be unmakeable.
As with most of Bali, increased crowds is a factor but uncrowded waves can still be had if you time it right.
