Gravel acting as drainage around the foundation and styrofoam (EPS) frost insulation to protect freezing of the ground around and below the foundation.
My video blog of a small house all-DIY construction. This episode shows spreading of the drainage gravel outside foundation and then covering the gravel with frost insulating styrofoam boards (EPS).
Radon gas extraction pipes are installed inside the foundation.
