Deepak Dev is a prominent Indian music composer known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Born in Thalassery, Kerala in 1978, his musical journey began with Carnatic music in Dubai. Later drawn to keyboards, he formed a successful rock band in college and further honed his skills working with renowned music directors. Debuting in 2003 with "Chronic Bachelor," Dev has become known for his unique blend of traditional Carnatic elements with modern beats. He has composed music for over 50 films and garnered critical acclaim, winning two Kerala State Film Awards for his work in "Guru" (2007) and the historical epic "Urumi" (2011).
