Join us as we travel to beautiful Arizona in search of land around Williams, a small mountain town just 45 minutes from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Our journey takes us through the highs and lows of exploring rural property, including an unexpected battle with altitude sickness that kept me down for a full day.
Williams, often called the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon,” is a historic Route 66 town with roots dating back to the late 1800s. Surrounded by the towering pines of Coconino County, it’s known for its Old West charm, vintage shops, and its connection to the famous Grand Canyon Railway. Coconino County itself is one of the largest counties in the United States, rich with diverse landscapes—from red rock canyons and pine forests to desert plains.
