Simple but super funky little number from 1973 by the great Michigan band, Ripple. I first came across this tune in the early 1990s, during the revival in the UK of 70's funk music that became known as Rare Grooves.
This was probably their biggest hit and it's just a really well put together funk groove that proves how less is sometimes more. And I love the extreme swing feel of the bass & drums. Much respect to the original bass player, Simon Kenneth Carter, and drummer Brian Sherrer 🔥🙏
