Come join us for a walk around Coral Island's idyllic Banana Beach!
Every time we're in Phuket, it's a place we visit, and it only takes a 30-minute longtail boat ride from Rawai beach to get to paradise. It has powdery white sand and clear turqoise water, something that even Phuket does not have.
We paid 1800 Baht for a 4-hour roundtrip, and our boat captain stayed on the island and took us back when we were ready.
When you return in the evening at low tide, the boat will drop you off pretty far from the beach, so you'll have to walk to shore. So leave your Manolos and Jimmy Choos home and wear water shoes or flip-flops because the bottom is rocky.
Although Coral Island (also known as Koh He) is very close to Phuket, we've never felt crowded there, and Banana Beach is a great place to spend the entire day lounging, swimming, snorkeling, or hitting the bar :)
Overall, Coral Island is definitely a place you should consider visiting if you want a change of pace and to explore one of Phuket's nearby islands.
