The India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government of India, organized a high-impact Investment Promotion Workshop in Tirupati focused on boosting Electronics Components Manufacturing in India under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS).
Key highlights of the event included:
✅ Unveiling of Andhra Pradesh’s Draft Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy by Shri Bhaskar Katamneni, Secretary, ITE&C Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh
✅ Announcement of 50% Capex support, turnover-linked incentives, and plug-and-play clusters for component manufacturers in AP
✅ Shri Sushil Pal, Joint Secretary, MeitY, emphasizing the need for state-centre synergy to turn India into a global components powerhouse
✅ Industry leaders from Dixon Technologies, Neolync, and others lauding Andhra Pradesh’s enabling business environment
📢 Mr. Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, ICEA, called on all states to align with the Centre’s vision and aggressively drive domestic value addition in electronics.
