What RHH should the Mariners bring to Seattle for 2026? In this video, I cover that question, the second half of the Mariners lineup, recent free agency moves that affect the Mariners both directly and indirectly, and more.
COMMENT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What's the most realistic option for the 2026 Seattle Mariners in this list of names based on value?
RIGHTY HITTER OPTIONS
MIGHT DRIVE A HARD BARGAIN FOR WHAT THEY’RE WORTH
Austin Hays- 30, would be worth the 7M, can take the injury risk, can really mash
Willi Castro- 29, might not be worth 7M to us, might get 10M somewhere or a chance to compete for everyday time
Amed Rosario- 30, same diff as Castro but maybe a little more realistic w/ less market
Adolis Garcia- 33, Doesn’t fit this team approach wise, but has played well at the ballpark in the past
Starling Marte- 37, but a heck of an athlete
FITS BASED ON WORTH
Miguel Andujar- 31, 5M, but profile might not fit
Yoan Moncada- 31, Might want to compete for job somewhere, bad defensively
Ha-Seong Kim- 30, Market would need to die and we get him late, but couldn’t compete in Spring if he’s in WBC
Carlos Santana- 40, but boy does he fit the hitting philosophy. Could be Solano again, but is that bad?
MLDS
Ty France-
Lane Thomas- 30, is he even better than Samaad Taylor? Doesn’t matter, need depth.
Randal Grichuk- 34, same deal as Thomas
Gio Urshela- 34 and probably done, Minor League Deal, DMND
Chris Taylor- 35, at this point, DMND, experienced righty
Santiago Espinal- 35
Kike Hernandez- 36
Miguel Rojas- 37
NRIS
DMo
Solano
Jose Iglesias
Luis Urias- Org history
Tim Anderson- what’s his market gonna be?
Tommy Pham- been labeled “bad clubhouse guy” but we’re really reaching here.
Thank you for watching and Go M's!
