In September 2024 I had the opportunity to view progress on the restoration of vintage diesel locomotive Kerr Stuart 4415, which worked for a short while on the Welsh Highland Railway and then Festiniog Railway back in the 1920s. The video shows first the locomotive and then the engine (together with the petrol engine for starting the main diesel engine). Work on both has advanced considerably since these were taken, and hopefully the locomotive will be fully restored before the centenary in 2028 of its first use on the WHR.
I've cut the audio from these clips because there was a lot of background noise.
