Summa Technologiae is a work by Stanisław Lem (1921–2006) that makes an enormous impression with its profound content and rigorous approach to complex subjects. The book features an addictive and fluent narrative, immersed in an ocean of erudition and marked by the author's unmistakable sense of humor. It is serious, idealistic, and deeply philosophical. From the perspective of the decades that separate us from its first edition, it is clear that Summa Technologiae is a timeless work. Many of its ideas have become reality — yet we must remember they were conceived by a man living behind the Iron Curtain, in a time of bleak socialism, intellectual stagnation, and growing political, economic, and social crises. This alone testifies to Lem's extraordinary intellectual capacity and imagination.

The music on this album is, above all, a tribute to this remarkable man. The titles of the compositions correspond to chapters from the original book. They represent my subjective attempt to translate their contents into a language of synthetic and mysterious sounds. These sounds venture far beyond our earthly backyard, into the vast expanse of stars, space travel, and alien civilizations. To what extent I have succeeded, I leave to the judgment of my esteemed listeners. I hope that the slightly more than an hour you spend with this musical interpretation of Summa Technologiae will allow you to step away from the problems of everyday life and embark on a journey into the land of sonic imagination. That, for me, would be the greatest reward for the effort and dedication I’ve invested in creating this artistic debut.
